Looking back at the round of 16

Starting off with a sad day at Stamford Bridge for Chelsea fans who got knocked out by PSG 8-3 on aggregate. Although Galatasaray got the lead in the first leg, Liverpool came back strong winning 4-1 on aggregate. Madrid managed to breeze past City, winning 3-0 in the first leg and then 2-1 at Etihad with two goals from Vinicius (5-1 on aggregate). Looking at Bayern who destroyed Atalanta with a 6-1 away and another 4-1 at home, whilst being on their 4 goalkeeper due to injuries.
On the other side of the draw, Barcelona qualified against Newcastle. Although Tottenham won at home in the second leg against Atleti, ultimately got knocked out due to a 7-5 on aggregate for Atletico. The Norwegian team which started with a 3-0 against Sporting unfortunately lost when Sporting won with a 5-0 in extra time in the second leg. Finally, Arsenal once again qualifies to the quarter finals after two goal by Eze and Rice at the Emirates a 3-1 aggregate win over Bayer Leverkusen.
With round of 16 having completed we now look at the fixtures ahead of the quarter finals: PSG faces Liverpool and Madrid will go up against Bayern. Barcelona will face Atletico and Sporting will now face Arsenal. These 8 teams will be fighting to continue their road to the finals in Budapest on May 30.
