Twist ending for Madrid in Sevilla

Betis vs Real Madrid face each other off once again on La Liga matchday 32, this time in Sevilla which ended in a shocking draw, 1-1.

Both these teams are no strangers facing each other off having last met at the Bernabeu. Betis’ last 4 matches at home have all ended in a draw and a re currently ranked 5th in La Liga table. On the other hand Madrid are still second, 9 points behind Barcelona, they have also not been able to keep a clean sheet in their last 8 matches having most recently faced Alaves. Although Mbappe leads the La Liga scoring with 24 goals this season, Bellingham hasn’t had a goal contribution in his last 9 appearances.

With anticipation and impatience fizzling from Los Blancos just itching to get on the scoreboard, the Brazilian kicks off the first half with a stunning goal, slotted straight into the back of the net just after the first quarter brining the score to 1-0 already. Unfortunate second half start when an incredible goal from the Englishmen is disallowed for offside. Madrid seem to be alert and attacking strong applying constant pressure on Betis, with Howsen and Trent really opening up and dominating the play. Despite the second half going through a lull, Betis once again started to dominate and fight to get on the scoreboard at time went down.

Just when Madrid thought it was over with 3 minutes of extra time after a denied penalty, Betis even the score with a power goal from Hector Bellerin. Just missing the exceptional Ukrainian, who was crucial in maintaining the lead throughout the game, easily player of the match once again.

Madrid gaining 2 more points will next face Espanyol away again on May 3rd, still fighting for their La Liga title.
