With an equaliser from Girona’s midfielder, Thomas Lemar in the 62 minute, the scoreboard now comes to a 1-1 draw. Despite Mbappe going down, the referee doesn’t stop play and controversially doesn’t do a VAR check.
Despite the match ending in an unfortunate draw, Real Madrid fought hard and still sit second in the LaLiga table with 9 points below Barcelona.
