FC Barcelona 105 – Real Madrid 100. First game in the new year raised high tensions with this Classico between two teams unfortunately ended Madrid winning streak against Barcelona.
Barça led early with an active offense, finishing the first quarter ahead. Real Madrid stayed close, battling throughout the match. Barcelona took control at times in the second quarter and maintained momentum, but Madrid kept it close heading into the second half with strong scoring from multiple players. In the final minutes, FC Barcelona executed better down the stretch, pulling ahead and sealing the win 105-100. Madrid couldn’t complete the comeback in the closing possessions.
Despite Madrids, Mario Hezonja, leading the scoring with a strong offensive it was not enough against Scottie Punter from Barcelona who consistently added to the score board.
